Privacy Policy for Bloomzi
Last updated: July 2026
Bloomzi is designed to keep your data on your device and, if you choose to pair with a partner, shared only between the two of you.
What data the app uses
- Photos and voice recordings you choose to attach to a message. These are stored only on your device and are never uploaded anywhere, even if you're paired with a partner.
- Messages you write ("plant"). If you are not paired with a partner, these stay entirely on your device. If you are paired, the text, category, and timestamp of a message sync to a private, shared space accessible only by you and your paired partner.
- Notifications: the app can schedule a local daily reminder on your device. This does not involve any server and no data is sent anywhere to make it work.
- Face ID / Touch ID: used only to lock the "Companion Mode" section of the app on your own device. This is handled entirely by Apple's on-device authentication system — the app never sees or stores any biometric data.
Pairing with a partner
If you choose to pair your device with a partner's device, the app creates an anonymous account (no name, email, or password required) to identify your device, and a shared space that only your two paired devices can access. No one else, including us, can read the messages in that shared space.
What we don't do
- No account sign-up, no email or password required
- No advertising or ad tracking
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties
- No access to your data by us — messages are stored in a database only your paired devices can read
Data deletion
You can unpair your device at any time from Settings, which stops any further syncing. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data (messages, photos, voice notes) from your device.
